Are you ready to be a homeowner? Deciding to become a homeowner is a big step. Because rental security deposits are most often limited to first and last month rent amount, renting can be viewed as cheaper and more flexible in the short-term. Monthly rent payments cover the general residential expenses, but more often than not leases and rental agreements cannot be sustained for the long term as payments can be periodically increased.
However, homeownership is the catalyst for a brighter future for not only your family but also for your future as a viable consumer. Making your mortgage payments on time can increase your credit score which may reduce the amount you pay for important items such as; auto loans, credit card interest rates and future loans. Homeownership can help you increase your net worth by building equity in your property through principle payments and improvements.
DNH works closely with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and governmental agencies to provide down payment assistance to prospective home buyers in order to facilitate homeownership and make the loans affordable for every Borrower.
The loan application process can be scary but DNH Lending is here to help you though it all! Our licensed Residential Mortgage Loan Officers are the industry’s top professionals and will walk hand and hand with you and your family to ensure that you are satisfied every step of the way...
Submission of the 1003 and supporting documentation.
DNH will give you a Loan Estimate LE that outlines the proposed terms of your loan, including projected payment, loans amount, interest rate and other important information.
The underwriter is responsible for reviewing the entire loan package and issuing an approval.
After your loan application is reviewed, your Residential Mortgage Loan Officer (RMLO) will notify you by phone or email to provide initial approval of your loan. If your loan is not approved, you’ll receive a letter explaining the decision.
At the closing, the DNH "funds" the loan with a cashier's check, draft or wire to the selling party in exchange for the title to the property. This is the point at which you have completed the loan process and the transaction is "closed.”
Congratulations, and welcome to your new home!
